I’m a mom of two under two. (Pray for me. I’m kind of kidding. They are the sweetest things.)

I came fully to Christ as an adult, and ever since I’ve carried a burden: what if I had known all of this as a child? Where would I be? Which battles would I never have had to fight?

I don’t just mean taking your kids to church and Bible study. I mean actually discipling them. Stewarding the children the Lord has given you well. Teaching them how to have a relationship with Him. Asking the Holy Spirit to tell you more about each child he has given you, and how to nurture them.

It is only by the grace of God that my kids are here, alive and well, in a two-parent home. These resources and tips are here to encourage you. It is hard. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done. And it is worth it.

What the Word says

children are a gift.

Jesus loves the little children. He is gentle with those who have young. He is the God who promises that we will not lose our little ones. Hold on to these.

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

PSALM 127:3

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

PSALM 127:4

Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

MARK 10:14

He shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

ISAIAH 40:11

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

Don’t underestimate them

they are capable!

Little ones can do far more than we think. They are able to hide the Word in their hearts, and the earlier we start, the more it becomes theirs.

memorize Scripture

Short verses, said again and again, settle deep in a small heart.

know the names of God

Provider, Shepherd, Healer, Prince of Peace. Names they can learn and say out loud.

learn to pray

Talking to Jesus is not complicated. Little ones can do it, and they can do it early.

declare the Word

Speaking truth over themselves and their day, in their own small voices.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
